Financial calculators for margin, marketing, and growth

Run the numbers that actually drive decisions. This suite puts eighteen business calculators in one place, from gross and net margin to CAC, LTV, ROAS, and CAGR. Pick a calculator, enter your figures, and see the result and the formula behind it, so you know
not just the answer but how it was reached.

Eighteen business calculators, each on its own page with the formula, a worked example, and a plain reading of what the number actually tells you. Everything runs in your browser and every result can be shared as a link.

Start with the question

Am I actually making money on this?

Every calculator in the suite

Each one has its own page with the formula, a worked example, and notes on where the number misleads.

No calculator matches that search. Try a broader term such as margin, cost, or growth.

Common questions

What is the difference between margin and markup?

Margin is profit as a share of the selling price. Markup is profit as a share of the cost. A 50 percent markup is a 33.3 percent margin, which is why the two are so often confused in pricing decisions.

Which calculator should I use to judge an ad campaign?

ROAS for the immediate revenue return, CAC for what a customer costs to win, and LTV to CAC for whether that cost is sustainable. Read them together rather than one at a time.

Are these calculators free to use?

Yes. Every calculator runs in your browser, nothing is sent to a server, and no account is required. Results can be shared as a link that reopens with your figures filled in.

Numbers are the easy part

Getting the calculation right takes two inputs. Getting an organization to agree on what counts as gain, what counts as cost, and what the number should change takes considerably longer.

That translation work is most of what I do. Westphal Solutions builds websites, tools, and reporting for nonprofits and growing teams, including the kind of measurement setup that makes a number like this one worth trusting in the first place.
